Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra Coming To India on March 11

Xiaomi has officially confirmed the launch of the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra in India later this month. The announcement came just hours after the Xiaomi 15 series debuted in select global markets ahead of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona. The standard Xiaomi 15 first launched in China in October last year, alongside the Xiaomi 15 Pro, which remains exclusive to China. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra was unveiled in China on February 28.
Xiaomi 15 & Xiaomi 15 Ultra India Launch Details
Xiaomi India confirmed the launch date via a post on X (formerly Twitter). The Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra will officially arrive in India on March 11 at 12 PM IST. The teaser showcased the Xiaomi 15 Ultra in Silver Chrome and the standard model in Bright Silver.
Xiaomi 15 Global Variant: Specifications
The Indian variant of the Xiaomi 15 is expected to feature the same specifications as the global model, but Xiaomi has yet to confirm this. The global version comes with a 6.36-inch 8T LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
For photography, the device boasts a Leica-tuned triple-camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. A 32-megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls.
The Xiaomi 15 is powered by a 5,240mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging support. The Chinese variant runs on Android 15-based HyperOS 2.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra Global Variant: Specifications
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra, which launched globally on Sunday, features a 6.73-inch WQHD+ quad-curved LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Like the Xiaomi 15, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
The Ultra model sports a Leica-branded quad-camera setup, featuring:
- 50MP primary sensor (1-inch type LYT-900)
- 50MP ultrawide camera
- 50MP Sony IMX858 telephoto lens (3x optical zoom)
- 200MP ISOCELL HP9 periscope telephoto lens (4.3x optical zoom)
For selfies and video calls, there’s a 32-megapixel front camera.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra packs a 5,410mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging and 80W wireless charging. It also features an IP68 rating, making it resistant to dust and water.
