Xiaomi has launched its latest flagship device Mi Note 2 today. The Smartphone was launched at the “Curved To Impress” event in Beijing, China. The main “specialty” of the device seems the dual curved display feature on the device that gives it beautiful curves on both of its sides just like the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
In Beijing this week Chinese Smartphone Maker Xiaomi announced its new flagship device namely the Mi Note 2. The main highlight of the Mi Note 2 is its dual curved display that resembles the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 a lot. Looking at the device all you’re going to say is that it’s really beautiful but the specifications it’s having under its hood makes it the real flagship device. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 comes with a 5.7-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Oled flexible display with a 77.2 percent screen-to-body ratio, which is more than what we saw in the LeTv LeEco Le2 Smartphone. Talking about the processor then the Mi Note 2 comes loaded with a 2.35GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 Performance Edition processing chipset so as to make multitasking an ease.
Sadly the Android version on the Mi Note 2 is still Android 6.0 Marshmallow but with OTA (Over The Air) updates we can expect Android 7.0 Nougat update real soon on it. The Note 2 comes with a 4070mAh battery and Qualcomm Snapdragon Quick Charge version 3.0 inbuilt.
Coming on the camera part then the Mi Note 2 comes pre loaded with a 22.56-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX318 Exmor RS sensor, an f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and EIS with its own 3-axis gyroscope for 4K video stabilization.
On the front part there is an 8-megapixel Sony IMX268 Exmor RS sensor, and an f/2.0 aperture, and the company’s famous group Selfie feature and Auto Beautify 3.0.
The Mi Note 2 also offers NFC connectivity, with support for Mi Pay which is Xiaomi’s official payment gateway just like Apple’s Apple Pay, other features include Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/-AGPS, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and USB Type-C.
The fingerprint sensor on the Mi Note 2 lies on its home button just like Samsung and Apple’s flagship devices do.
