Amazon echo device

The skill sets are made for Alexa which is the Artificial Intelligence Agent made by Amazon. Digging in to know Alexa, I must tell you Alexa was made by Amazon’s subsidiary named Lab126 back in time. At that time Alexa wasn’t much popular but it was made popular by the release of Echo by Amazon which is a portable wireless home based speaker controlled by Alexa. She’s capable of voice interaction, music playback, in making to-do lists, setting alarms for you, streaming podcasts, playing audio books, and providing weather, traffic and other real time information. She can also control several smart devices and with the new skill set By Logitech, she’ll also be able to turn on your TV just be recognizing your voice. You just need to say “Alexa, turn on the TV” or “Alexa, turn on Netflix” and she’ll make sure you don’t get bored of anything.

To get this skill set to work you must make sure your device is connected to either the Harmony Hub or the Harmony Elite remote.

Alexa skill set

According to Logitech the skill is rolling out to US users this week, and will be available in the UK in the coming months.

To set up the skill, all you have to do is to open your Alexa app, select “Smart Home,” then “Get More Smart Home Skills,” and search for Harmony!

With the introduction of this new skill set you get one bright side to look at and one negative one too that can’t be neglected. One the bright side we have the future in which human dependency on doing small things will decrease and ultimately end as our devices will get as smarter as they could easing your way but the negative aspect starts from here only as who knows one day these devices only understand that why they are getting orders from you when they are this much smart.

Who knows!
