Vivo is all set to launch its next smartphone Vivo V5 in India on November 15 with a tagline ‘selfie evolution’. This is a selfie focused smartphone which will compete against the likes of OPPO F1S and Gionee S6s, selfie-centric phones. Vivo V5 will be launched at the product launch event while the company has already sent media invites. It’s Vivo’s fifth smartphone from its V series. Vivo V5 has a 20-megapixel front shooter with a soft light LED flash. The price tag for this device is expected around Rs 20,000.
Vivo V5 Specifications
It sports a 5.2-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. This device is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor with Adreno 510 GPU chipset. Vivo V5 has a4GB of RAM alongside 32GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
The Vivo V5 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and also house a fingerprint scanner. But unlike other phones it will be embedded in the smartphone’s home button rather on the rear.Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE supportn Bluetooth, micro-USB and others.Apart from selfie camera Vivo V5 has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF)
Oppo F1s has 16-megapixel front camera with 1/3.1-inch sensor and an F/2.0 aperture for more light and wider frames. At Rs 17,990, the Oppo F1s comes with a 5.5-inch HD display, 1.5GHz 64-bit octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 13-megapixel rear camera and 3075mAh battery. We’ll see how Vivo V5 perform against this device.
Also it’s other competition Gionee S6s have a8-megapixel front camera and is priced at Rs 17,999, the Gionee S6s offers a 5.5-inch full HD display and features 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 13-megapixel rear camera, and 3,150mAh battery.
