Microsoft was reported to be working on the production of Microsoft Surface AIO (All-In-One) Pcs under its well known brand “Surface” and now according to some reports, it is made clear that Microsoft is going to finally launch its new Surface Pc in October at an event in New York.
According to an article by Mary Jo Foley at ZDNET, the new Surface device is codenamed “Cardinal“, and at least one model will be showcased at the New York event.The Surface AIO Pc is said to be the consumer version of Surface Hub which is available only to businesses.
Microsoft AIO PC Launch Date and possible Specifications?
The new Microsoft Surface Pc is said to sport 21-inch, 24-inch, or 27-inch options, or all three. It is said that the second generation Surface Book which was going to be launched in the second half of 2016 is now delayed till the first half of 2017 just because of the October release of the Surface AIO PC.
The specifications are yet to be released for the general public and till now no leaks are present to even speculate prospective specifications. But the speculations are likely to begin as we approach closer to the event. When coming to launch date, Foley tells that the date is probably in the latter half of October, and positively be on October 26.
The event is reportedly being internally referred to as Project Rio by Microsoft.

Microsoft is also working on a Microsoft Surface Phone which is set to be unveiled in the first half of 2017. This year we can also look forward to welcome the new Microsoft Surface 4 tablet as the Surface 3 tablet is going to be discontinued this December.Also with two new Windows 10 updates, we can look forward to getting new Surface 4 tablets updated with the latest Windows operating system.
