The device’s scores are 1,659 and 3,951 in single-core and multi-core tests which are lesser than the 2nd most powerful device present namely Samsung Galaxy S7 with a score of 1,806 and 5,213. Samsung Galaxy S7 was recently laid down to second place by Apple’s Iphone 7 with a GeekBench score of 3,450 and 5,630. However these benchmark results can be quite disappointing thing for people waiting for the Pixel XL as many rely on these only while judging a device.
Another shocking thing is that these results fall just below that of OnePlus 3. Although the device is still “assumed” to be Pixel XL but as per now nothing can be said about it with full proof as we have nothing to rely on rather than that code name “Merlin” or the GeekBench results.
This speculation is however also assumed to be true due to WCCFTech’s statement in which they stated that the phone’s chipset is a second revision of the Snapdragon 820 or an 821.
And they expect that the Snapdragon 821 will power Google’s new lineup of Pixel phones.
Another interesting fact here is that the “assumed” Merlin device was also running on Android 7.1 Nougat which is not yet released and may be the version that would release first on Pixel XL.
Google’s new lineup Pixel is high on news as it maybe a new lineup or a revision to the existing Nexus lineup by Google, Hence bidding bye to Nexus and welcoming to Pixel in place of that.
Well nothing can be said in this matter too.
Pixel devices would be offering custom Google Os and not the stock one as Nexus carried and this one would cost around $650 (around Rs 45,000).
Also it is expected that Pixel XL will launch this year on 4th of October at the Google event.
