Google’s Android One Project isn’t dead, surprisingly. Turkish Smartphone manufacturer General mobile has announced GM5 Android One Smartphone that runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.The Company has plans to offer GM 5 in 20 countries, mostly in Europe and in some African and Asian Markets.These countries includes Azerbaijan, Albania, Afghanistan, Belgium, Bosnia, Croatia, Cyprus, Georgia, Ghana, Greece, Iraq, Kenya, Luxembourg, Moldova, Netherlands, Pakistan, Serbia, Tunisia, Turkey and Uzbekistan.

General Mobile GM 5 Android One Smartphone Specifications

General mobile GM 5 features a 5-inch OnCell IPS display with a resolution of 1,280×720 pixels, with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. This phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core processor clocked  at 1.2GHz. This phone has a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage which can be extended  further via microSD card slot up to 64GB. The General Mobile GM 5 sports a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP front-facing camera located on the front side of it.This device is backed by a 2,500 mAh battery and it measures 140.5 x 69.75 x 9.3mm,  weighs 160 grams.

This is the first Android One smartphone coming with Pre-Installed Android Nougat.It will not be launched in India. Price and  release date has not been confirmed at the moment. The phone will be available in Golden, Space Gray and Black color options.
