World’s thinnest Laptop is here : The Acer Swift 7. It’s launched at IFA 2016 today alongside other Acer Products including a Chromebook, curved display gaming laptop and gaming monitors at pre-IFA 2016 event in Berlin. Acer Swift 7 beats recently-launched HP Spectre laptop which measures 1.04cm.
This Windows 10 Notebook is powered by Intel’s brand new 7th-generation Kaby Lake Core i5 processor, measures a scant 9.98mm. The whole system is fanless and is passively cooled. A 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD inbuilt storage is there. This makes it the first to limbo under the 1cm bar (0.39 inches).Despite it being thinnest it has provided everything that matters.The Swift 7 Laptop offers two USB-C 3.1 ports, a HD webcam and a headphone jack. Also a 9-hour endurance in a single charge thanks to Intel’s newly updated and more efficient Y series of chips.
It sports a 13.3-inch Full HD IPS panel with 1080×1920 pixels resolution and a micro-bezel, plus Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Swift 7 has an aluminum unibody chassis, dark on the outside and a quite classy gold on the interior.
It Weighs about 1.1kg (2.48 pounds) and can be effortlessly tote around in one hand. The keyboard looks good and comfortable type on, even if it does have predictably shallow key travel. Acer Swift 7 launches in China in September for ¥6,999, followed by Europe and the United States in October, at prices of €1,299 and $999, respectively.It may be priced around Rs. 70,000 in India.However, there is no official word for Price and India release date.
