On Friday this week The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has inaugurated free Wi-Fi service for the Airport Express Metro Line. The free Wi-Fi service would be available at the Shivaji Stadium Metro Station. The free Wi-Fi service would be available to everyone traveling between the 22.7-km length of the Airport Express Metro Line.
Friday this week there was the inauguration of free Wi-Fi service by The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for everyone travelling on the Airport Express Metro Line that is in total 22.7 km long and covers 6 stations in all namely the Shivaji Stadium, Dhaula Kuan, The Delhi Aerocity , Delhi Airport and at the end Dwarka Sector 21.
The Wi-Fi facility is available now and is named as, “Oui DMRC Free Wi-Fi” in which Oui is a French word meaning “Yes”.
To make use of the free Wi-Fi service all you have to do is, just open Wi-Fi on your Smartphone and search for nearby Wi-Fi Hotspots. There you’ll find a Wi-Fi named as “Oui DMRC Free Wi-Fi”. Simple click on connect and you’ll be connected to high speed Wi-Fi network provided by The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
To make this happen DMRC has reportedly tied up with Techno Sat Comm. which presently running India’s “first” Wi-Fi-On-Train service on the Delhi-Howrah Rajdhani Express.
Amit Mohan who is the Assistant Vice President of Software and Mobile App at Techno Sat Comm. stated, “We have entered an alliance with DMRC to provide internet connectivity across their whole rail network. It is likely to be completed by sometime next year,”
This means you won’t be waiting more to see all of the metro stations round the capital of India be covered with free Wi-Fi service as it will be launched near to the end of the next year.
