Airtel on Thursday declared the launch of its V-Fiber ‘superfast broadband’ service in the nation, beginning with Chennai. The V-Fiber service – which offers speed to 100Mbps – will be revealed the 87 different areas in India that have Airtel’s broadband service in the coming weeks, beginning with Delhi and NCR and Bengaluru. Close by, Airtel declared that boundless free voice calling that was before accessible on select broadband plans will be stretched out to all clients.
The company noticed the way toward moving up to the V-Fiber system won’t oblige it to uncover streets or re-wire, rather, it will help the last mile copper network by utilizing ‘noise elimination technology’ it is referring to as Vectorization. It adds that local exchanges have been upgraded to handle faster fibre speeds. To get the speedier V-Fiber broadband, existing broadband clients will require new modem.
While the new modem is chargeable, Airtel says monthly rental plans will not increase alongside the increase in speed. These modem charges will be fully refunded if the customer is not satisfied with the service within the first month, the company says. New customers get an ‘unlimited three months trial offer’.
Both existing and new users can register or pre-book the V-Fiber service via the company’s dedicated site.
