PV Sindhu the 21-year-old girl who made us all proud just a few days back after Sakshi Malik by winning the Silver medal says that his coach is the best. PV Sindhu was offered a better coach to train her by the Deputy Chief Minister of the Telangana state, Mr. Mohammed Mehmood Ali in the ceremony of felicitation after her return from the Rio Olympics 2016. Sindhu has been simply exclusive in the game. After winning the Bronze medal in 2012, Sindhu reached Rio with many expectations and became the first woman to win a silver Olympic medal.
PV Sindhu Badminton Singles – Silver Medal:
PV Sindhu who met Carolina Marin (World’s No 1) in the Women’s Badminton Singles Final at the Rio gave a very tough competition with 2-1 but settled for silver. Before this, Saina’s bronze was the best that has been won by any badminton player at the Olympic level from our country. After returning to her native state Telangana along with the coach Gopichand, Sindhu has received a few congratulatory messaged and is yet to attend many felicitations. “I want to thank both the governments of the Telangana state and Andhra Pradesh. The celebrations were fantastic”, said PV Sindhu.
However what took us by storm is Sindhu’s love and dedication for her coach. Mehmood Ali, in his excited state on Monday expressed to the media that they are planning to provide a proper coach from another country to train PV Sindhu to make her fetch Gold at Tokyo 2020. Sindhu, when asked to comment on this, has revealed that “Gopichand is the best for me and will remain forever. Don’t want to comment anything further“, clearing all the endeavors of her in the future. When asked about this Gopichand said that they system itself needs to be improved for greater medals as they’re only byproducts of the system. Let’s see what the two have for us in the store!
