Two people have been arrested from Mahipalpur area of Delhi (South), India robbing a truck carrying 1000 iPhone 5s carrying net worth around 2.25 Crores. The alleged have been identified by the police as Mehtab Alam, 24, and Arman, 22, both being the local residents of Mahipalpur. While Mehtab was caught red handed from Mahipalpur only, Arman too couldn’t flee away and was caught in Rangpuri area of south Delhi by Delhi police.
Police has recovered only 900 iPhones and the car that was used to do the crime by them. As stated by the police this whole robbery scene was executed on September 13th 2016 when the truck had to carry all those iPhones from Okhla in south Delhi to Dwarka region that lies in south-west Delhi.
Both of the accused were not alone in performing whole of the crime and had some accomplices with them who first helped them to hold the driver under their control and then threw him near Dwarka Link Road and performed the robbery.
It was also found that the accomplices that helped them in this crime were the former drivers of the truck and knew well about the timings of their passing by.
The officer stated the same “During investigation it was found that two robbers — Bhola and Pradeep — were the former drivers of the truck, and had left their jobs two weeks ago, We also found that on the day of the incident both the drivers had followed the same route which was used by the truck carrying the mobile phones,”
The accused told the name of two more people who are still not arrested whose names are, Rahul and Jitender as stated by the police. The police is still conducting raids to arrest the remaining gang members and very soon will catch them as per insights.
