Reportedly, the shooting of Ajay Devgn’s upcoming film ‘Baadshaho‘ has been delayed because of Demonetisation. Since 9th November 2016, there has been a cash drought of sorts because of the Central Government’s decision of demonetization implemented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi where the old Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes have been completely scrapped off and new 500 and 2000 rupee bills have been launched. As is everyone acquainted with the fact, the decision was taken mainly to curb black money, corruption, and terrorism but because of shortage of 100 rupee bills and new 500 rupee bills, the ‘No Shave November’ has apparently turned into ‘No Money November’ and it has subsequently affected the film industry on a large scale.
As per sources, the latest movie that has been affected due to this whole demonetization process is ‘Baadshaho’, a Milan Luthria’s directional venture with Ajay Devgn as the central plot character. The initial shooting date of this movie was November 19 which has now been postponed to November 29. Sources say that the one and only reason behind this 10 days delay in shooting is because the payments to all the junior artistes in the movies are made in paper bills and on a daily basis but since, there is no cash available at this point of time, the workflow has got affected on a greater level. Hence, the makers of the movie have arrived at this decision that it will be wiser to initiate the shooting of ‘Baadshaho’ when this whole demonetization thing gets settled down.
This news has been further confirmed by Milan Luthria. He said that his entire production team is making ends meet through a variety of different arrangements for procuring daily payments and hence, they will be able to adapt to the current situation in no time. He also appreciated the support that he is receiving from his entire team including Emraan Hashmi, Ajay Devgn, Esha Gupta, Vidyut Jamwal and Ileana D’Cruz who have positively welcomed the last minute change of dates.
