Dangal has smashed all the box office records of Bollywood in the third weekend and now the movie has entered the weekdays but the platinum run is still not over. Dangal has finally been able to become the highest grosser in Hindi cinema and with each day at the box office, the record is being set higher and higher for the next movies to come. It has successfully crossed the lifetime business of PK on Day 17.

Aamir Khan has been setting the benchmarks at the box office since a really long time. His ‘Ghajini’ was the first movie to cross 100 crore mark, his ‘3 Idiots’ was the first movie to cross 200 crore mark, his ‘PK’ was the first movie to cross 300 crore and now ‘Dangal’ has becomes the first movie to cross 350 crore at the domestic box office.

Dangal has succesfully created a wave in the overseas market as well. The total overseas box office collection of Dangal till 8th January has been $26.47 million which accounts to Rs. 180.58 Crore. This is an exceptional total. what’s even more surprising is that the movie has crossed $11 million in USA-Canada which is mind blowing for an Indian movie.

With this movie, we can say 2016 has been a landmark year for Disney India. On one side the Bollywood movie ‘Dangal’ has crossed the 350 crore mark and on the other side, the Hollywood movie ‘The Jungle Book’ has done a great business too and raked in around Rs 188 crore nett.
