After 8 long years, Befikre starring Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor marks to be Aditya Chopra’s directorial return. But before you book your tickets for this seemingly-fun flick, we are here to give you a quick lowdown on what Ranveer-Vaani’s Befikre has in store for you. Here’s Befikre review for you. Check best critic ratings and audience response.

First things first, this movie is nothing in comparison to the earlier projects of Aditya Chopra. His iconic ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge’ became the epitome of a love tale with Raj and Simran still making it the most quintessential example of what you call a perfect love story even after 2 decades. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi released in 2008 was another one of his simplistic love story and a culturally bound romance between Anushka and Shah Rukh.

But Aditya Chopra totally transformed his whole idea of love with a modern concept like ‘no strings attached’ with Befikre. To know if it will worth your time, give a look at the review below:

Befikre Review

Cast: Ranveer Singh, Vaani Kapoor

Director: Aditya Chopra

Producer: Aditya Chopra

Positive: Ranveer-Vaani’s Chemistry, Ranveer’s Performance, Beautiful Sceneraies

Negative: Weak Plot, Flat Climax, Boring 2nd half

Verdict: One time watch

Befikre narrates the story of Dharam, played by Ranveer Singh and Shyra played by Vaani Kapoor, two Indians and young bloods in Paris who decide to have a blast hanging out together but have certain apprehensions regarding commitment. So, they decide to confess bring the ‘feeling of love’ in between. But eventually, they start finding it difficult to avoid the emotional perspective of a relationship that they were trying to keep undefined and that how the whole story paces forward.

The music of ‘Befikre’ is super refreshing. The music ranges from peppy beats to youthful compositions that are enough to keep you hooked to the movie. Vishal-Shekhar has done a superb job with ‘Nashe Si Chadh Gayi’ and ‘Labon Ka Karobar’.

Befikre Critics Review

Ratings: 1.5/5 | Review by Indian Express:

Befikre ticks practically every single box which constitutes the Yashraj canon. You can’t do better than Paris, gorgeous location-wise. Ranveer Singh oozes that certain irrepressible X factor, and he is paired with Vaani Kapoor who added zing to the previous Yashraj ‘prem kahani’ she featured in.
It’s all there, and yet, Befikre never quite rises above its shiny surface. In its best moments, it has sparkle, but those few and far between; in the rest, it stays bland and familiar.

NDTV Movies: 2.5/5

The kisses are countless in Befikre. They do no real harm to the flow of the film. The misses are far fewer in number, but the damage they do is infinitely bigger.

Especially disappointing is the film’s bizarre climax, which dangles aimlessly between romantic drollery and outright absurdity.

Ratings: 3/5 | Review by Times Of India:

Befikre has some honest, funny moments and the attempt to upgrade the romcom genre is apparent, but like most romcoms, you don’t come away with anything new.

If you care for some laughs, some YRF nostalgia and are, well, promiscuous with your choice of romcoms, you could take a chance with this one.
