Befikre with Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles and directed by Aditya Chopra has finally hit the silver screen today i.e. 9 December, 2016 after a lot of hustle and bustle of promotions. This project of Aditya Chopra is nothing like his old projects and takes a major modern turn with a western concept of ‘no strings attached’. The storyline of the movie celebrates the love in a fun and carefree yet an impulsive spirit of romance.  The film has been in much hype since its inception and audiences were expecting a lot from the movie makers. After Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay and Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, no movie could rake in double digit openings and yes, the expectations were now laid on this Ranveer Singh starrer mostly because of Ranveer Singh’s fan following that goes berserk for the first day shows of him and also because he’s coming after a long time while his last release was ‘Bajirao Mastani’.

Ranveer Singh’s Befikre has managed to open well at the Box Office with around 40-50% occupancy in the morning shows. The film has managed to draw the audience in the multiplexes more than single screens due to demonetization crisis. The overall occupancy of the film is higher but limited to single screens. The movie has been released in 1700 multiplexes screens and has released to only 400 single screens.

According to the Pre-booking report, 35% tickets were sold that means Befikre had already collected 6-7 Crores.

Befikre has been made on a budget of Rs 55 crore. The promotional and advertisement (P&A) cost is Rs 15 crore, taking the total cost of the film to Rs 70 crore. Released on over 2100 screens in the domestic market and over 800 screens in the overseas market, the film has got about 2900 screens worldwide.

So, the first Friday morning for ‘Befikre’ had been good and the film is expected to show even more growth in the weekend days because once the positive word of mouth is out, the film will receive a great push in collections on the first weekend and it has also been anticipated that this success run will continue for the next week as well.
