After the success of Rustom, Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar is ready to play the legendary role in the biopic about a hockey player Balbir Singh. The movie is the real life story, ‘Gold’.Now the guesswork is on for the vogue and style of Akshay Kumar in the biopic of the hockey player Balbir Singh. ‘Gold’ to be directed by ‘Talaash’ director Reema Kagti and produced by Excel Entertainment. The film’s teaser poster made it clear that it’s a sports film set in 1948 and tells the story of India clinching its first-ever gold medal at the Olympics.
The actor took his Twitter handle to revealed his fans and followers to share the poster of his upcoming movie ‘Gold’. The is scheduled to be released in the year 2018 on the nation event of Independence Day.
For those not in the know, Balbir was a part of the Indian hockey team at the 1948 Olympics. While he was the vice-captain during 1952 Olympics, he led the team in 1956 in Melbourne. According to reports, the film will showcase how Balbir Singh was the hero of the gold campaign that India enjoyed in the three editions of Olympics.
