Union Finance Minister of NEW DELHI Mr. Arun Jaitley launches, Vittshala a financial literacy cell of Shri Ram College of Commerce on Monday celebrating the 90th anniversary of the college.
When Jaitley disclosed the logo of Vittshala, he highlighted the role of financial incorporation in India. he also expressed his felicities over the reality that the aspirants of SRCC are working for the same. He featured the several milestones that the country has gained in the direction of financial incorporation. He helped in commencing of 24 Crore bank accounts under the Jan Dhan Yojana. Furthermore, the incorporation of insurance services as well as LPG subsidy payments with bank accounts of beneficiaries. This is helping in the withdrawal of duplicity and diversion of funds.
Efforts of SRCC
Glorifying the efforts of SRCC in coming out with this drive to reach the last person on the street. About Mudra Yojana , which would facilitate small entrepreneurs. His focus is on women empowerment and deprived groups. Moreover, to get access to credit and the government’s target to spend loans worth Rs 180,000 Crore under the scheme.

Vittshala is a Centre for Community Engagement (CCE) initiative, planned for making communities armored enough to administer financial resources effectively through several workshops and discussions.
The cell wants to influence people through its well-planned, community-directed projects. It acts as a multifarious venture. It involves peer-counseling, developing interactive apps . In addition, events to promote financial literacy . Also, channelization of savings, funding and investments, banking and insurance services.The cell is helping people to open their bank accounts and related schemes.
The beginner interns have already been trained by senior officials from State Bank of India, Life Insurance Corporation of India.
