Announcements of the noble prize for physiology or medicine, physics, chemistry,   and most apparently economics have been made in the first week of October. Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) won the finals of the Sweden-India Noble Memorial Quiz 2016 conducted at Indraprastha College for Women in New Delhi on October 10. Keeping the spirit and enthusiasm alive they were honored by the Noble Prize.

IGNOU Team had a tough competition with finalists from Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune to up star winners.ignou-wins-sweden-india-noble-memorial-quiz-2016

The team also embodied Ambuj Singh, Sunny Aryan, and Kisalay. The 11 city annual Inter-Collegiate Quiz competition had participants from across the colleges and technical institutions from all the participating cities.

In order to keep the excitement lively, they also won an all-expense paid trip to Sweden where they will visit the headquarters of all Global Swedish Companies, Swedish universities, and noble museum, among other places.

The students were very happy not because they were able to make it to the finals but also were successful in their victory “We all are very excited to have won the final. This would not have been possible without the support from our college. All the sweat, the dedication, the time and the hard work is paying off now. We have just got to keep working hard and let everything take care of itself. Moreover, the contest was a great learning experience,” said the students from IGNOU. Quizmaster Kunal Sarkar hosted the qualifying and the final rounds.
