The central board of secondary education runs under the union government of India and is a board of education for private and public schools. Teachers Eligibility test is an entrance examination for teachers which is conducted only in India. If the applicants want to get the teaching job in government schools the TET is mandatory. The teachers will teach students from Class 1 to Class 8. The paper 1 is for those applicants opting for class 1 to class 5 and paper 2 is meant for class 6 and class 8.
The minimum qualification has been laid down by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for appointing the eligible person as a teacher in classes I to VII. The qualification rate for a teacher is 1% to 14% in the examinations which are held till now. CBSE conducts this examination two times in a year i.e. in February and September.
