The Class 10 board exams will be held from March 9 to April 10. The Class 12 exams will start on March 9 and end on April 29. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is also confident of releasing the results in time. The exams usually begin on March 1, and results are declared in the third week of May.

Class 12 board examinations, which usually begin around March 1, have been delayed by a week this year because of assembly elections in five states.

The short delay in the commencement of exams will help in smooth conduct of exams, as teachers and staff will be busy with election duty.

Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur will go to polls between February 4 and March 8.

The counting of votes will be held on March 11 for assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Goa. Voting for 403 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh will be held in seven-phase election on February 11, 15, 19, 23 and 27 and March 4 and 8.

School principals and teachers said that there will be no problem if the results are declared on time.
