Fifty-eight distinguished medical colleges the nation over will be upgraded by next year.
Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Faggan Singh Kulaste today said the medical seats will be expanded by 10,000 in 2017 through NEET.
Addressing the second health care summit-Rajasthan 2016 here, he said that 58 distinguished medical colleges the nation over will be upgraded in one year from time.
“The government is taking all the positive steps to provide best medical and health facilities to people. Best services and mediation services are being provided to the citizens of India with the help of Information Technology,” he said.
The panel of judges had said that the guiding procedure will be centralized together and fresh procedures will be followed. The court has given one week time to finish admissions procedures to all government and private universities with new procedures.
The court also decided that two delegates from private medical colleges would be available during the centralized counselling round.The court’s decision had been provoked because of a petition filed by the Madhya Pradesh government.
The petition had charged that private medical universities had been refused the eligible candidates for admission based on their NEET score. The Petition also states that the private university’s attitude was uncompromising for centralized counselling. They wish to go ahead with their own counseling procedure for the medical admissions.
